In Bible versus Quran, Moses put the words in Aaron’s mouth
Jews, Christians and Muslims, all admire Moses as a great prophet. He is considered the greatest prophet in Judaism and he is the most frequently cited Prophet in the Quran.
In the Bible,
The Lord’s anger burned against Moses.
The Lord God made Moses like God to Pharaoh.
The Lord God said unto Moses, you shall be as God to Aaron.
Aaron is Moses’ Prophet.
In the Quran,
Allah’s never ever get angry of Moses.
It is Pharaoh who proclaimed that he is the highest lord!
Moses asked Allah to appoint for him a minister, Aaron, his brother, Moses said: “confirm my strength with him and let him share my task” (verses 20: 29-32).
———————
In the Bible, the verses of Exodus (4:14-16 and 7:1) say:
The anger of Jehovah was kindled against Moses, and he said, is there not Aaron your brother? I know that he can speak well. And you shall speak unto him, and put the words in his mouth: and I will teach you what you shall do. And he shall be your spokesman unto the people. And Jehovah said unto Moses, See, I have made you as God to Pharaoh and Aaron; and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet.
———————
In the Quran, Verses 79:15-26 say
Have you, O Muhammad received the story of Moses?
How his Lord called him in the holy valley of “Tuwa”; it is Holy because of its goodness and grace. And Allah said unto Moses:
Go to Pharaoh; he has indeed become rebellious, he is arrogant and too proud and has refused to believe in Allah; he has exceeded all bounds with his disbelief,
And say unto him: Would you purify yourself by bearing witness that there is no god but Allah; O Pharaoh would you become righteous, surrender and believe in Allah’s divine Oneness?
And then I will guide you to your Lord, to show you how to know Him by way of proofs, so that you may have fear of Him
So Moses showed him the tremendous token, the hand and the staff.
But Pharaoh denied Moses and disobeyed Allah.
Then he turned his back, to faith, to think what to do about Moses, going about in haste, throughout the land causing corruption.
Then he gathered the sorcerers and his armies and proclaimed,
And Pharaoh said, ‘I am your most high lord!’ above whom is no other lord.
So Allah seized him and punished him and made him an example for the after life and for the former. The punishment that he suffered in the life of the world is drowning and the punishment of the Hereafter will be in the Eternal Fire.
It is also said that this means: Allah has punished him because of his former and latter pronouncements. His first pronouncement being: “I do not know of any other god for you except Me” [verse. 28:38] and the second being “I am your Lord the Highest” in these verses.
It is said that there is an interval of 40 years between the first and second pronouncements.
Assuredly in that, which Allah did to Pharaoh and his host, is a lesson and is a moral for the one who fears Allah, exalted be He.

The Bible (King James Version)
Exodus 4:14-16
14And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.
15And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.
16And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.
Exodus 7:1
1And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
———————
Verses 79:15-26 (Yusuf Ali translation)
15. Has the story of Moses reached thee?
16. Behold, thy lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:-
17. Go thou to pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds:
18. And say to him, ‘wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?-
19. And that I guide thee to thy lord, so thou shouldst fear him?
20. Then did (Moses) show him the great sign.
21. But (pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance);
22. Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah).
23. Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation,
24. Saying, “I am your lord, most high”.
25. But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, – in the hereafter, as in this life.
26. Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah).

Single Muslim Women – Equal to Men Yet Different
Whether it be single muslim women or men the Koran is addressed to all the muslims and it says that the male and female ‘were created of the single soul ‘.The women’s right as per the islam religion are the right to obtain education, to work and earn, to own independent property, equality of rewards for equal work, to express the opinion and to be heard, to refuse marriage that does not please her and so on and so forth.
Women’s dress as per the Islamic culture is based on the principle of female modesty, purity and chastity. Some of them wear a modest dress which includes loose clothing and a scarf over the head and under the chin, and some wear a burkah which is a complete covering from head, face down to the toes.
Muslim women have played a vital role in the Muslim community. Early muslim women served the community through scholarships, teaching, nursing and other important activities. In Islam there is absolutely no difference between the men and the women as far as the relationship to Allah is concerned, as both are rewarded in the same way for good conduct and punished in the same way for bad conduct.
Single Muslim women have certain restrictions in the society. They cannot expose their beauty; they should not go to public baths and swimming pools during the common hours where men also come. They must lower their eyes and not see men with bad intentions. They should be careful in the dance halls and gymnasiums and they should be allowed to go to the mosque if they desire so.
The only Muslim country which forces the women to wear hijab is Iran. In other countries, the women are given a choice about the hijab depending upon the degree of faith they have in the reading of the religious texts. The hijab should be worn only when she goes out of her family home. A Muslim female is required to dress in a particular way when she goes in the public. A Kashmiri Muslim woman wears a loose pheran up to knee length. They also wear bunches of ear rings, the weight of it will be supported by a thick silver chain. On the whole, the women’s modest dress protects the society from adultery and other illegal sexual relations that lead to the break up of families and corruption of the society.
Muslim men and women must lower their gazes. They should not mix with each other. There is no dating, dancing, or mixed social gatherings in Islam. To help the men and women to find their best life partner without dating in person, there are many dating agencies and online agencies which help them to come across prospective partners sitting at home.
The modern Muslims have become broadminded and there is a lot of understanding and little more freedom is given to the younger generation but at the same time the knowledge of Koran and the religious faith is kept under consideration.
Single Muslim women stuck between talks of equality and restrictions imposed.
Islamic Teachings and Beliefs

Islamic Teachings and Beliefs
The religion Islam does not believe in the concept of “original sin.” According to the teachings of Islam, people are born guiltless. They remain so until an individual himself or herself, commits a sinful deed. Islam is neither an ethnocentric nor a sacramental religion. The followers of this religion observe no sacraments. Anyone can become a Muslim by his/ her discretion. Introduction to Islam involves no sacramental ceremony, no involvement by any clergy, and no authentication by any organized body. All that a true Moslem needs to do is follow the teachings of Islam. These teachings are:
Doctrine of God: Islam is a strictly monotheistic religion. The followers of Islam believe that there is no other God than Allah.
Doctrine of Angels: The throne of God is surrounded by Angels. They serve as His messenger to people. The most important of all angels is Gabriel. Iblis is a fallen angel, he is also referred to as the Satan or Devil. He has authority over the djinns who are male and female demons.
Doctrine of Inspired Books: The Moslems believe in the sacred books which include the Torah, the Gospel of Jesus, the Psalms, and the Koran (Qur’an). The followers of Islam believe that Koran is the only book which is completely error free. Sections of the holy book Koran have resemblance to the Bible, the Apocrypha, and the Jewish Talmud. There are many stories in Koran that are similar to stories of various prophets in the Old Testament.
Koran is somewhat shorter in length than the New Testament. Islam’s followers are expected to memorize as much of the Koran as they can. Those who memorize the whole book by heart are highly honored.
Doctrine of Prophets: According to the teachings of Islam, there are many persons who are considered to be prophets. Among them are Abraham, Ishmael, Moses, Noah, John the Baptist, Jesus, and Mohammed. Mohammed is considered to be last prophet. His proclamations completed the message sent by God to people.
Doctrine of Last Judgment: Moslems believe that there will be a day of final judgment. At that time, the non-believers will be sentenced to the burning fires of hell, while the believers will enter heaven. However, the pleasures of heaven will be given to the believers according to the degree of faith and morality they displayed in their lifetime.
The followers of Islam believe that the moral and legal codes of Islam apply to all areas of human life.

Discrimination Law Against Discrimination Law?!

Discrimination Law Against Discrimination Law?!
Very often on our courses, we illustrate the positive and negative pendulum that can hold sway in a diverse society. Positively, you make an improvement for one individual or a group and you secure a spin off benefit for those outside the group. Removing debris from a footpath will make things safer for those with mobility issues but also will enhance the environment and help those carrying shopping or even pushing a pram!
But sometimes, you make an improvement in one area and create tension, resentment, jealousy and at worse a severe backlash. The battle of the sexes, the perceived notion that “they” are getting more benefits than me and impatience with those less able is all part of this potentially poisonous cocktail! But nowhere it seems is this negative backlash more to the fore than between those who hold genuinely religious beliefs and those who wish to be free to live their lives under the law as gay, lesbian or bisexual individuals.
In recent months, there seem to have been an avalanche of claims reaching tribunals reflecting these theological and secular tensions. The overarching lessons emerging from what have been largely employers victories are to be found in common sense key questions:-
“Have you carefully considered the complaint or request in front of you?”
And if you have, has your response been:-
· Reasonable?
· Practical?
· Proportionate?
Viewed against this backcloth, the following recent cases can be seen in real perspective:-
Miss Ladale v Islington Borough Council
The applicant, a devout Christian, was employed as a registrar with the local authority. Her duties included registering marriages. When the Civil Partnership Act 2004 was introduced in December 2005, all registrars were required to carry out civil partnership ceremeonies. These were generally shared out in approximately the same proportion as marriage duties. Miss Ladale refused to carry out these new duties. Initially, she won her claim of direct and indirect discrimination as well as harassment. But an essential part of the Employment Appeal Tribunal ruling which overturned the earlier victory is interesting:-
“ The Council was entitled to decide that Miss Ladale could not pick and choose which duties she would perform depending on her religious views, at least in circumstances where her personal stance involved discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation.”
Gary McFarlane v Relate
Mr McFarlane was employed by Relate as a counsellor. He was trained by them to be a psychosexual therapist and his role in consequence was extended to giving advice on sexual problems encountered by couples. He too was a devout and practicing Christian. When he refused to give advice to same sex couples, he was initially suspended and ultimately dismissed for failing to uphold Relates equal opportunities policies. The tribunal ruled against him, with the telling comments:-
“His dismissal by Relate was a proportionate means of achieving the legitimate aim of maintaining its commitment to providing a service to all sections of the community without any suggestions of discrimination. Relate would have treated any other employee in the same way, who, for reasons unrelated to religion had acted in a way so at odds with its equal opportunity policy.”
Mohammed Ahmed v TESCO
Mr Ahmed, recruited by the supermarket giant, as a forklift truck operator refused to handle alcoholic goods as part of his duties. He is a devout Muslim and as such he said could not handle alcohol. TESCO, who won the case, said that on appointment Mr Ahmed had never raised such objections and was indeed told in his job interview about the wide range of goods that were stored and subsequently sold in their supermarkets, including alcoholic drink.
John Mitchell v Strathclyde Fire Service
Mr Mitchell, a Christian fireman, was amongst a group of fire-fighters at a Glasgow fire station who refused to attend a gay pride march with some claiming that they were too embarrassed to attend in uniform and others saying that their presence would be “contrary to their moral beliefs”. They received a range of disciplinary sanctions from demotion to written warnings. The Fire Service decided to reach a settlement with Mr Mitchell in relation to his complaint, with an apology and an agreement to prevent him from discussing the case being part of the out of court settlement. This would have been an interesting case had it gone the whole way but it does point to the potential for “win-win” solutions outside the legislative framework.
“Win-Wins” have been secured in recent times in terms of:-
Scotland Yard creating a hybrid or composite helmet based on the traditional model combined with a turban for Sikh officers
British Airways allowing discreet jewellery such as the Christian fish symbol to be worn on their uniforms
Merseyside Housing Associations asking their builders to cover the boots(personal protective equipment) with plastic wraps before entering a Muslim home
And, of course, the recent case of the Christian bus driver agreeing to drive buses with “No God” adverts only if no other vehicles were available. Other passenger transport authorities across the country have reached a similar compromise.
Many employment cases can be resolved on a “win-win” basis. But if they cannot, the overarching principles that lie paradoxically at the heart of any attempt at consensus will generally prevail in law. Namely, what is reasonable, practical and proportionate?
These are, of course, employment issues. Laws governing the provision of goods, facilities and services now embrace the religion & belief strand as well as sexual orientation and gender identity. It will be interesting in the months ahead if the same tensions between religious beliefs and the notion that the “customer is always right” prevail in this hard headed commercial environment?!

Falling Muslims

Falling Muslims
Historians are often astonished to note how the Arabs could reach the height of their glory in such a short span of time, fourteen centuries earlier. But in fact there is nothing to be astonished about. Their glory was the natural consequence of acting in the guidance provided by the Quran. The most astonishing thing on the other hand is that which made the Muslim nation, after it reached the pinnacle of its glory by acting on the Quran and after it witnessed the results of such an action with its own eyes, decline in every sphere of life and ultimately fall into an abyss. How did it happen that the veils of darkness mentioned above could manage to fall in between the light of the Quran and the followers of the Quran? The story is most painful and hair-raising and is worth listening to with rapt attention. It runs as follows:
When the forces which opposed the rising tide of Islam in the 7th century A.D. noticed that the uneducated, unskilled, undisciplined and most backward people of the world living on dates for their subsistence, had become the dominant power of the world within a very short period, they became jealous of this. They simply could not bear the aliens treading on their territories and demolishing the structure of their ancient civilisations. The superior nations of that period were the Romans and the Persians who comprise the intelligentsia of that age. They were defeated and overrun by the Arabs who were far inferior to them in material resources. When Hermazan, the defeated Persian Governor was produced before Hazrat Omar !11 Caliph of Islam), the latter asked him why the Persians were now suffering defeat after defeat at the hands of Arabs while previously they could beat them back easily in any encounter. Hermazan replied that earlier the Persians had fought the Arabs alone but now they had to fight against the Arabs plus their God and it was not possible for them to defeat these two forces combined. How true his answer was when we look at the Quranic verse:
“Truly God is with the believers.” Al Anfall 8:19.
The Persians were men of wisdom and insight, they truly realised that Arabs would remain invincible in the battlefield so long as they were close followers of the Quran and that the only way to overpower them was to disassociate them from the guidance of the Quran and thus get them separated from their God. This was an important turning point in the history of Islam, and thus cam in waves of conspiracies which entirely changed the very face of Islam in the years to follow. All the basic concepts of the Quran on which the ‘Deen’ or social order established by Muhammad (peace be upon him), came into existence, were replaced, one by one, by ideas, beliefs and superstitions which were the outcome of human thinking. Muslims in their era of glory and triumph conquered both Romans and Persians but whereas the Roman empire was partly conquered, the Persian empire was not entirely subjugated, but the edifice of its civilisation was completely razed to the ground. It was natural thing which that they felt it deeply and malinged the minds of muslims in coming centuries. We all can see that Muslims of today have become an example of weakness and one with no divine objectives!

Islam and Muslims in Modern Society

Islam and Muslims in Modern Society
Islam has been reported as being a very ancient or behind the times religion. Muslims who follow the faith of Islam feel very differently. Islam has just as much meaning for Muslims living in today’s modern world as it did when Prophet Muhammad (swt) first spoke his preaching to the people of Makkah. In the past there was clues just as there is now. Islam is a foundation where we can put our worries and trouble into and know that there is a purpose for us which is higher than the almighty dollar.
Today’s society worships mainly one thing, money . We go to our modern churches, which we call banks and see our way to buying the fast cars, large houses and luxuries clothes which are ridiculously over priced. I met a Muslim who once told me ‘I worked hard for my money, so what if I buy expensive things’, is what they will say and they are right. But read again and you will notice that this person keeps referring to himself as ‘I buy’ and ‘my money’. This is the attitude of modern society.
Islam teaches that we need to think of others too which is why we give Zakat, a percentage of our earnings to the poor. We also have fasting and feel the way those less fortunate would feel. ‘Muslims need to learn to integrate’ is what is splashed on papers and TV but I have noticed they have integrated fairly well, disregarding their religious beliefs just to confirm to the ‘norm’.

How to determine for yourself without any ignorance which is the correct beleif
We all live in a world with diverse religions, I cant even count the number of different religions or beliefs are in the world. Anyway what is important is to put all the ignorance aside and do some research about Islam. Yes I said Islam, meaning Muslims. The most hated nation in the world and the nation that has been picked on, tortured, insulted, raged war against, etc. Have you ever stopped for one moment and thought why. Let me tell you many people have misconceptions because they are ignorant and mostly scared of the truth.
Islam prohibits all that is wrong, it encourages peace, it accepts and does not discriminate or judge anyone or any religion. It does not judge. Muslims do not want this war in Palestine and wherever else, they are being forced out of their own country, because others want the whole country for themselves. Muslims are always targeted, because they know the truth about this world and the hereafter, we understand that every soul shall be kept account of what they do on this earth. That is why you have to live by doing good deeds and believing in only one creator and in the Holy Quran that is the word of God. The Quran is a recipe for life, so please take out some time and do research, asks all the questions about all the misconceptions that you have, but just do all of this with an open mind.
Seek for the truth and you shall find it, but do it with a good heart and a generous soul.
Dont be like those that say I never knew or if I only had known about the true Islam and not only beleived the ignorant. Take this opportunity and you have the right to know, its at your fingertips, just reach out and touch it. You will feel that contentment of the heart and peace that you never ever knew you possesed.
Good luck

Basics of a Muslim Marriage

Basics of a Muslim Marriage
Muslim marriage is a sacred event that binds a woman to her husband. This is not just a sacred event but an event that is communal and witnessed by a multitude of people. A Muslim marriage happens very religiously in accordance to the will of Allah. A Muslim man has the right to marry up to 4 wives and, a woman knows her place in the marriage. This is as a result of their years of study of the Koran. The Muslim culture prepares women thoroughly and, their marriages become a huge success. These marriages are governed by their laws known as Sharia. It is within this institution that they solve their problems. This form of solving problems has ensured that couples succeed in marriage. A Muslim marriage is cherished and the Internet will provide you all the information you need to understand more about it. A marriage partner in this religion is a companion and a friend. A partner should provide comfort and protection to their loved one. The common problems that affect all marriages will also affect this kind of marriage.
Many people go into relationships with a lot hopes and expectations. The first few years of marriage are blissful but, as you move into more phases of life, you will realize that it is not easy. It is therefore necessary for all Muslim couples to empower themselves with information that will go a long way in ensuring that all is well. The following are some of the tips that will help a Muslim couple strengthen their marriage and lead it to greater heights. In Islam, a man is seen as more of a shepherd to guide the family. Contrary to popular beliefs, this marriage is not based on dictatorship and it is a partnership. A husband has the role to nourish as he consults his wife in matters relating to the family. This should be done in a peaceful manner and, if there is a problem, it should be solved in quietness and humility.
An Islamic marriage will be strengthened by spending time together. This involves laughing together and enjoying the little things of life together. This is what true marital bliss is all about. Drawing closer together is an obligation and, this can only work for the betterment of the marriage relationship. The ultimate goal is to find peace and a resting place in each other. When it comes to matters of sex, an Islamic couple needs to put time and effort into it. There are things that are acceptable ‘halal’ and others that are forbidden ‘haram’. Therefore, every need of a partner should be met in the right manner. The matters of sex are considered private and, a couple should never discuss such issues with others. The holy prophet recommends women and men to be sexually appealing and attractive to each other. Being beautiful and elegant in Islam is highly encouraged. This is a very helpful tip to guide Islamic couples on these matters. Finally, an Islamic couple needs to draw closer to Allah in their marriage. It is a way of life and, it is the defining factor that every Muslim cherishes.
