Religions And The Muslim Philosophy!

Religions And The Muslim Philosophy!
Religions and the Muslim Philosophy!
By: H.A. Yahya, Professor of Sociology
It never came to my mind to stand against the basic beliefs of the religions of God. The different and changing testimonies of the followers of these religions make me defend philosophy in the face of practiced religions of the world. It is my position, that if a certain religion promotes hatred of other religions or beliefs, is not a religion. And therefore, it should be attacked on the basis of justice. If the laws of each religion justify hatred of other religions, then it should be understood, that my actions are also, justified.
Philosophically speaking, mind is the basic ingredient of human differentiate him from animal, and therefore, human should use their minds to promote happiness in life Not in the unseen life. Reality described by philosophers through the separation of Spirit and Body. While spirit cannot be defeated or demolished completely, as we know, the body is limited by age. Age is limited by years, but soul is not limited by years.
Mind should be the strong castle of human to defend superstitious ideas and metaphysical phenomena. Limitation of human mind is combined with limitation of humans’ age on earth. Other humans may continue using the mind to continue the march toward unfolding knowledge about the Universe. But one human cannot do so. The works of old philosopher are leading but not completing the modern human mind. Socrat, Galileo, Christ, and Pain and many others were excluded from their communities and paid their lives for what they believe in. Their intuition was leading humans to use their minds for the purpose of having happy life, by applying the logic of this life at its best.
Religion and Time: The majority of the ignorant theology, and the powerful authority in the absence of logic have lost in historical events, the essence of human existence on Earth. Even in these days of 2008, the world still governed by the majority ignorant or the powerful authority who believe that war for example, is the only way to protect the self or the nation’s interest. Unfortunately, the knowledge obtained so far, about the world was used to destroy it. Or to destroy human happiness. We know that values are changing, the good of the past is no more good in present . Values of the rich is very much different from the poor values. And values of ignorant people are different from those of well advanced in knowledge.
Human Being is no more living for their family, wife, and kids, They are working for their own pleasures. Money is no more serving the purpose of basic needs, it becomes numbers like human beings. Numbers without feelings, without minds, without souls. Money should not be an end by itself, but a means to survive and serve those who need it. Look for the Oil producing countries, how they are fooled by oil companies. Oil is contributing in the world misery of millions of people in poor countries around the world including the countries producing or consuming oil. In the poor countries, war between religious sects is inevitable, and in the rich countries, the distance between poor and rich is sky rocketing. So you might ask, what is the solution for the world to come to mind?
This is a good question, and it makes anyone-including myself-nervous. But to be nervous, is not the right way to answer the question. The question, anyhow, is part of the answer. The terms used in the question, how? Read it again, we may replace the first term (what?) in the question by the last term (mind) to become, “mind is the solution for the world to come to.” As you see, the solution is using the mind. Not emotions or feelings or faiths. It is simply the mind which lead us to understand ourselves, to understand our environmental surroundings, the nature, and the creatures in it. Is this hard to grasp or comprehend ? I did not think so. In the case of religions, if Jews, Christians, Muslims or any other faith followers use their minds to solve their problems, especially in Palestine, sure they will be able to reach a conflict-free world all over. Many Varieties of Meditation are Available for Stress, Disease, and Depression Through Relaxation
Most of us who have never meditated or who have always practiced it in a very prescribed manner can learn a great deal by moving beyond our rigid precepts. Beyond the spiritual, there is mounting documentation that regular meditation can reduce stress and support longevity. It’s no longer uncommon for health care professionals like physicians, psychologists, and massage therapists to recommend various types of meditation to their patients and clients.
Courses are available at seminars, retreats, colleges and on-line suggesting that we all need to find a way to expand our inner connection while moving outward into the unknown. We live in a stress-producing society and are often much less physically active than our ancestors. Most of us need to find a way to unwind.
One group, Vipassana, offers free retreats that last ten days and require ten hours a day of meditation. If you know anyone who does that type of inner work you have probably noticed that they look very different “after: than they did “before”…and keep going back. That says something for such a rigorous ritual.
Transcendental Meditation™ can be researched on the web and studied to great advantage according to its proponents. Many have been at it for decades and wouldn’t want to have a day go by without “connecting” in a deep and powerful way.
HeartMath has carefully documented statistics about what can be done to regulate heart rate, blood pressure and even body temperature through their method of meditation. Their system is more data oriented than metaphysical and consistently delivers to those who follow its guidelines.
Some groups are deeply religious in their presentation of meditation. The Catholic Church offers the age-old, Centering Prayer, Buddhists have many differing applications and the Self Realization Fellowship offers a unique mix of Christianity and Hinduism in their Lessons that lead to Kriya Yoga meditation.
The web offers a new student a large selection of options to consider. Many include free instruction and also have local groups for continued support. An overwhelming number of books on the subject are available, also, that can help the neophyte compare meditation methods before establishing affiliation.
To eclectic students, there is the possibility of learning several different methods of meditation and even combining them as they see fit. It can be a very personal process.
Not only can meditation be directed toward individual growth and expansion, there are methods, like the Buddhist Tonglen practice, that take on the job of working toward the healing and well-being of others. Monasteries and convents, both Christian and non-Christian, have meditated for world peace and individualized emancipation for centuries.
The opportunity for all of us to take a closer look at mediation and how it might enhance our lives and improve our health is definitely out there. Start small, shop around, and talk it up. What you come up with could radically change your life.

A Muslim Call to the Israelis
May 31st
A Muslim Call to the Israelis
These days the Middle East is once again the scene of bloodshed. Israeli troops are employing the most ruthless and cruel methods against Palestinians. The Israeli Army is ruthlessly bombing Palestinian settlements, shooting at children and trying to make Palestine uninhabitable. Some Palestinian radicals, on the other hand, are attacking Israeli civilian targets and spreading violence with their terrible suicide attacks aimed at women and children.
Our heartfelt wish as Muslims is for the anger and hatred on both sides to die down, for the bloodshed to stop and for peace to come to the Middle East. We oppose both the Israeli killing of the innocent and the bombing of innocent Israelis by some radical Palestinians.
In our view, the most important condition for this blind conflict to come to an end and for real peace to be established in the Middle East is for both sides to genuinely and honestly understand and implement their own beliefs. The conflict between Israel and Palestine has taken on the identity of a ‘religious war’ between Jews and Muslims, whereas in fact there is absolutely no reason for such a war of religion. Both Jews and Muslims believe in God, love and respect the same prophets, and possess the same moral principles. They are not enemies. On the contrary, they are allies in a world in which atheism and hatred of religion are widespread.
Based on that fundamental principle, we call on the Israelis (and all Jews):
1) Muslims and Jews believe in one God, the creator of the universe and all living things. We are all God’s servants, and to Him we shall return. So why hate each other? The holy books we believe in are different, but we all abide by those books because we believe they are the revelations of God. So why should we fight one another?
2) Instead of Muslims, would the Israelis rather live among atheists or pagans? The Bible is full of passages describing the terrible cruelties inflicted on the Jews by pagans. The terrible genocide and cruelty inflicted on the Jews by atheists and unbelievers (such as the Nazis, anti-Semitic racists or communist regimes such as Stalin’s Russia) are clear for all to see. The atheist forces in question hated the Jews because they believed in God, and that is why they oppressed them. Are not Jews and Muslims on the same side against these atheist, communist or racist forces that hate them both?
3) Muslims and Jews love and respect the same prophets. The prophets Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, Moses or David are at least as important for Muslims as they are for Jews. The lands where these holy figures lived and served God are at least as holy for Muslims as they are for Jews. So why drown those lands in blood and tears?
4) The fundamental values of Israel are also sacred to us Muslims. The word ‘Israel’ is the name of the Prophet Jacob, who is praised in the Koran and remembered with great respect by Muslims. The Magen David (Star of David) is the holy symbol of the prophet David for us too. According to the Koran, synagogues are places of worship that Muslims must protect. (Koran, 22:40). So why should members of the two religions not live together in peace?
5) The Torah commands Jews to establish peace and security, not to occupy other lands and spill blood. The people of Israel are described as ‘a light unto the nations.’ As Rabbi Dovi Weiss has said:
“The Jewish people are commanded by Almighty God to live in peace with all peoples and nations on the face of the globe. Our agenda is simple It is to humbly worship the Creator at all times. As Torah Jews we are called upon to feel and express our sense of compassion when any person or group of human beings suffers.”1
If the Israelis continue to treat the Palestinians as they are now, they may be unable to account for that to God. Those Palestinians who kill innocent Israelis, on the other hand, may be unable to account for those murders. Is it not a duty in the eyes of God to put an end to the fighting, which is dragging both sides deeper into satanic violence?
We invite all Jews to consider these facts. God commands us Muslims to invite Jews and Christians to a ‘common formula’:
Say, “O People of the Book! Let us rally to a common formula to be binding on both us and you: That we worship none but God; that we associate no partners with Him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than God.” (Koran, 3:64)
This is our call to the Jews, a People of the Book: As people who believe in God and obey His commands, let us come together in the common formula of ‘faith.’ Let us love God, the Lord and Creator of all of us. Let us abide by His commands. Let us pray to God to lead us further on the path of righteousness. Let us bring love, compassion and peace to each other and the world, not hostility, blood and tears.
That is where the solution to the Palestinian question and other conflicts in the world lies. Come, let us find a solution together. The deaths and suffering of so many innocent people remind us every day what an urgent task this is.
HOW CAN THE PALESTINIAN QUESTION BE RESOLVED?
Based on the principles of toleration and moderation we have outlined above, it is possible to solve the Palestinian question, which has caused so much bloodshed in the Middle East over the last 50 years. In our view, the establishment of peace depends on these two conditions:
1) Israel must immediately withdraw from all the territories it occupied during the 1967 war including East Jerusalem. The occupation that has existed since must come to an end. That is an obligation under international law, U.N. Security Council resolutions and the concept of justice. All of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip must be recognized as belonging to an independent State of Palestine.
2) East Jerusalem, which is home to the important temples of all three theistic religions must be administered by the Palestinian administration, yet this city should have an exclusive status. Jerusalem must be made a free city in which members of all three religions can carry out their obligations in peace. When these conditions are brought about, Israelis and Palestinians will have recognized each others’ right to exist, shared the Palestinian lands, and resolved the status of Jerusalem, the subject of a great argument, in a manner satisfactory to the members of all three religions.
Our hope is that the constant hostility of the last 50 years or so, the prejudice, killing and slaughter will come to an end, that the innocent Palestinian people can secure a homeland that can provide them with the peace, security and well-being they deserve, and that Israel will abandon its policy of aggression and occupation, that wrongs its own people as well as the Palestinians, thus allowing it to live in peace with its neighbours within its legal pre-1967 borders.

The Diversity of World Religions

The Diversity of World Religions
Baby boomers celebrate across a wide spectrum of religions. The Catholic church celebrates the rituals of Baptism; confession; communion; confirmation; marriage and the last rite. Many other World religions celebrate similar human events, albeit in a different format.
Judaism celebrates birth; betrothal; marriage and events that commemorate a person’s religious ‘coming of age’ in much the same way as Catholics.
Psychological articles teach us that Buddhism rituals of worship differ from other religions in that it is not considered to be important to worship in a designated location such as a temple or church: home worship is considered to be just as valuable and rewarding. A great deal of Buddhist belief is based on wisdom and common sense practises; being a decent human being is valued above all else.
Shinto baby boomers encourage the setting of shrines in the home and the office and a favorable business deal might just as easily be prayed for as the basics of health and happiness! Offerings are made at a shrine and might be presented in white pottery containers.
In the Hindu religion, a Brahman priest could be invited into the home to preside over ceremonies that might be focused on the health and happiness of a pregnant mother and her unborn child. Charms are often used to ward off evil spirits and in Hinduism, small events might be celebrated, such as a child’s first haircut! The hair might also be presented as an offering at the temple. Boys around the age of puberty are initiated into responsibility of the faith during a ceremony in which they are given a golden thread, to be worn over the shoulder: thereafter, they are known as ‘twice born’.
Islam is closely connected with Judaism and Christianity. Moslems worship according to the teachings of the Koran; its messages interpreted by the Imam and the Mosque. The faithful are called to prayer each day and are required to pray five times, facing Mecca. Prayers are required to take place in a clean environment and take around ten minutes for each session.
Taoism combines a number of related elements. Petitions to the Gods are a normal part of Taoist prayer along with a deep reverence for ancestral spirits. Psychological articles note that a great deal of importance is placed on health and spirituality in Taoism and a great deal of Taoist ritual is rooted in folk lore and traditions as well as alchemy and herbalism.
Another religion that places a great deal of reverence on the wishes of ancestral spirits is Native Spiritualism of the kind practised by native American Indian baby boomers. The power of spirit cannot be overstated by native spiritualists and ceremonial ritual is colorful, convincing and comforting.
Sikhism, founded in 16th Century Punjabi India, recommends the belief of the existence of immortal beings and faithful Seikhs refrain from ever cutting their hair or their beards!
Confucianism is based on the teachings of the ancient Confucius in moral, social and political matters. Widely believed to be the chosen religion of Imperial China, famous sage Confucius’ (551- 479 BCE) teachings influenced East Asia for many centuries.
What do baha’ls believe in? Peace and unity, mostly. The youngest of the world’s independent religions, it was founded to form a unique global administration system with elected governing councils covering around 10,000 localities. Bahá’u’lláh teaches baby boomers cultural diversity; environmental conservation and economic justice.

Christian Faith|Journey of Faith
May 31st
Journey of Faith
What is our journey of faith and how do we get the true understanding of how faith works in our lives? How do we structure and build upon faith as we take our journey through life to where we become strong to the point of maturity?
Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld. It coveys the idea of something that underlies visible conditions and guarantees a future possession. Faith is, therefore, the basis for hope and the evidence for conviction concerning unseen realities. The entire body of truths delivered by Jesus Christ and his inspired disciples constitutes the true Christian “faith.”
As we go through our journey of faith to get true understanding, let us examine the farmer’s faith. The farmer prepares his soil and sows his seed, excepting, as in previous years, that the seed will sprout and that the plants will grow as they receive the needed moisture and sunshine. Likewise, the scientist has faith in the principles of his branch of science. He bases new experiments on past discoveries and looks for new discoveries on the basis of those things already established as true. Therefore, faith in the stability of the natural laws governing the universe actually constitutes a foundation for man’s plans and activities.
In many ways, “faith follows the thing heard.” Rom 10:17 says, ( So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.) John 4:39,41, says ( And many of the Samaritans had come to Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “He told me all that I ever did.” 41, And many more believed because of His word.)
Let us examine Abraham’s faith. When told to offer up Isaac, Abraham had strong faith that God would resurrect his son. He based such faith on God’s promise that it was by means of Isaac that “what will be called ‘your seed’ will be.” Gen. 21:12; says (But God said to Abraham, “Do not let it be displeasing in your sight because of the lad or because of your bondwoman. Whatever Sarah has said to you, listen to her voice; for in Isaac your seed shall be called.)
Jesus, on occasions, said to those who were healed, “Your faith has made you well.” Had those persons not exercised faith in Jesus, they would not have received healing for themselves. Likewise, the great faith of the army officer who entreated Jesus in behalf of his manservant rested on evidence, on the basis of which he concluded that Jesus’ merely ‘saying the word’ would result in the healing of his manservant.
Therefore, evidence for genuine conviction was also involved in the case of those who came to or who were brought to Jesus to be healed. Even if not eyewitnesses personally, they at least had heard about Jesus’ powerful works. Then, on the basis of what they saw or heard, they concluded that Jesus could heal them also. Moreover, they were acquainted with God’s Word and thus were familiar with the miracles performed by the prophets in times past.
However, we note that Jesus healed all who came to him, not requiring faith greater or less according to their disease, nor failing to heal any of these with the excuse that he could not do it because their faith was not strong enough, as so-called “faith healers” have done. Jesus performed these healings as a witness to establish faith. In his home territory, where much unfaithfulness was expressed, he chose not to perform many powerful works, not because of inability, but because the people refused to listen and were unworthy. Matt. 13:58 says, (Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.)
Christian Faith: As we continue in our journey of faith we discover that faith is not the possession of all people, as it is a fruitage of God’s spirit. 2 Thess 3:2 says,( and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith.) Gal 5:22 says ( But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.) Those lacking faith are rejected by God. Heb 11:6 says, (But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.)
For faith to be acceptable to God, it is necessary to accept Jesus Christ, and this makes possible a righteous standing with God. Gal 2:16 says, ( Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.)
A Christian’s faith is not static, but grows strong. 2 Thess 1:3 says, ( We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other.) Hence, the request of Jesus’ disciples, in Luke 17:5 ‘Give us more faith.” was very appropriate, and he did provide them the foundation for increased faith. He supplied them with greater evidence and understanding on which to base their faith.
The entire life course of a Christian is actually governed by faith, enabling them to overcome mountain like obstacles in their journey of faith that would hinder their services to God. 2 Cor 5:7 says, (For “we walk by faith, not by sight. Matt 21:21-22 says, So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea, ‘It will be done. “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” )
We now, have the true understanding of faith through God’s Words, and how it works, and how it will work in our lives. In ever thing we do, let us exercise our faith as to grow and become strong. James 2:26 says, ( For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.) As we walk through our journey of faith, let us apply the works needed to mature, and let us conquer all life’s obstacles through prayer so that we may acquire God’s guidance.

Jesus Marveled and Said: I Have not Found so Great Faith, No, not in Israel
Comparative Study between the Bible versus the Quran (51) – B:
The second part
(Chapter 51:1-10)
The Old Testament verses from 1-10 say that the Israelites outnumbered the Egyptians (See: A: The first part).
The New Testament verses from 1-10 are states that Jesus said: I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
The Noble Quran Verses from 1-10 are talking about different subjects, one of them is that the promise of the Afterlife is a true one (see: C: The third part – I and II).
————
New Testament
Chapter 51 in the New Testament is Luke 7;
it is composed of 51 verses.
Verses from 1-10 are talking about:
When Jesus had finished saying all this in the hearing of the people, he entered Capernaum. There a centurion’s servant, whom his master valued highly, was sick and about to die. The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant. When they came to Jesus, they pleaded earnestly with him, “This man deserves to have you do this, because he loves our nation and has built our synagogue.” So Jesus went with them.
He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say to him: “Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel.” Then the men who had been sent returned to the house and found the servant well.

These verses illustrate that the centurion respects Jesus very much.
He sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant.
But he realized that he does not deserve to have Jesus come to him.
Jesus considered that an outstanding faith.
Jesus said: I have not found such great faith even in Israel, because the Jews showed no respect to him.
According to the saying of the Lord Jesus, all the Muslims have more faith than the centurion; why? Because:
all the Muslims respect the Lord Jesus and his mother very much
None of the Muslims dares to ask the Lord Jesus to come to him
None of the Muslims dares to say to the Lord Jesus: “I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
It follows that, according to the saying of the Lord Jesus, all the Muslims have an outstanding faith more than that the centurion had.

Luke 7 (King James Version)
1] Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum.
2] And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die.
3] And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.
4] And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this:
5] For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.
6] Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:
7] Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.
8] For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
9] When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
10] And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.

For Longo the paper was a kind of way station in his own journey. “I examined the Ruler [of Benedict] in terms of healthy lifestyle. The essence is that work and entreaty is a balanced lifestyle,” he said. Probably it my as well.” When Donald Moss, and so president of the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, prepared his 2002 address to the organization, he was aware that what was happening with the head/consistency movement “is we’re bringing together just about of the old ghostlike disciplines in new forms.” Moss, a clinical psychologist and psycho-physiologist at Saybrook Graduate Schooling in San Francisco, explained, “I am a Christian but I also spent a year studying Buddhism at a temple. And I’ve found that while concepts of divinity may divide people, our ghostly traditions take us closer again.
